This is simply proof positive that I either a) don’t take ‘good’ pictures anymore or b) I don’t take pictures at all anymore. This is from an ice storm that came through in 2006– I’m not even sure I walked outside to get this photo, as it was freezing and I’m a pansy. Because of that, this is about the only good shot I got while the ice was frozen to anything nailed down . . . or not nailed down as the case may be.
I always find ice fascinating. Last week when I was taking Nugget to gymnastics I came across icicles forming on the edge of an umbrella awning, and normally I would find such an awning ridiculously ugly and worthless, but the ice can make almost anything beautiful it seems. If only I’d had my camera with me then.

Normally I find frozen tree photos boring (although I have definitely taken my fair share of them as well), but I love the way the shadows draw you into this photo:D And I don’t think you are as bad at taking photos as you think you are! I love looking at your daily posts! Keep it up o:)
Thanks so much. I agree that it’s all in the shadow in this pic. Funny, I post a snowy ice picture one night and the next morning I wake up to an inch of snow and a two-hour delay. Imagine that.
